Insurance is charging me $600 for two twenty-minute calls with my doctor

For the past few months, I’ve been meeting with my primary care doctor to discuss my anxiety and depression medications and if I need to change my regimen/keep at what I’m doing. Usually, these 20 minute calls would cost me $25 (the co-pay.) However, I noticed that after my visit in early January 2022, I was charged almost $300 and after my visit in mid-February 2022, I was also charged almost $300. After multiple calls with my insurance company (BMC HealthNet) and the hospital my doctor is employed through (the Cambridge Health Alliance financial services), they told me that they’re charging me the co-pay and part of the deductible since I didn’t cover all of it in 2021. However, that seems pretty fishy, especially since I was charged $25 for these same calls in 2021.
