I recently delivered at an in network hospital and had a complication that caused me to return a few days later for additional care in maternity. Insurance will not cover my full room and board since it was a private room for both stays. They billed me the difference 1.5k total. The hospital I used only has private rooms in labor and delivery so I did not have an option for semi private. Can I appeal my charges for room and board?
