Insurance says I’m not eligible to refill my prescription for another 2 weeks, but I’m running out and I take exactly the prescribed dose. Where’s the disconnect?

I’m prescribed a 30-day supply of a medication; I take one daily. I get it refilled every month, and I visit with my doctor when I’m out of refills. Every now and then, the pharmacy says my insurance won’t cover the refill because I’m not yet eligible to refill for ~1-2 weeks. But I take exactly the prescribed dose.

Right now, I’m down to my last dose and insurance says I can’t refill until January 10. My policy does not allow me to override the limit for lost or misplaced meds. How can I fix this?
