Hi,
So my question is – (And please let me know if this belongs elsewhere). Is there anyone that oversees pharmacies? Is there any way to escalate?
And the story:
I have been trying for three weeks to get my medication from Alliance RX Walgreens prime. At first there were problems with my prescription, when we got those settled, I placed an order for my medication to be shipped via fed ex to my local fed ex store to be picked up. Their fulfillment dept (or whomever processes the order) changed the order to ship via UPS and sent it… The Fed Ex store won;t accept UPS packages so it was rejected… Alliance RX engaged a courier service to pick it up but never actually gave authorization (so they were on standby, but never actually allowed to take action)… and it was eventually sent back….
It took about 5 days for them to undo the order, then we set the new order…. (For background, I have been shipping to the Fed ex store for years and generally didn’t have a problem)…. So we set the new order with clear notes to only send via Fed Ex, and to go to the Fed Ex store to hold for me. Once again they shipped via UPS and once again the Fed Ex store rejected it.
Once again, they engaged their courier service called Parcel Shield to grab the package… This time they actually authorized Parcel Shield to pick it up… and after a day they managed to get it…. Now my package is sitting on a shelf at parcel shield, unfortunately, my medication has to be kept cold….
Here we go again, while Alliance RX authorized Parcel shield to get my package, they didn’t authorize them to deliver it to me… Customer service at Parcel Shield tells me they can’t release it without approval, and the customer service at Alliance RX tells me that only their logistics team can authorize them to give me my package and all they can do is send another note….
Its already been at least two days, and not looking good for delivery today. I will probably have to start all over again.
Just a funny side note, my NEXT shipment came up in their system as ready to ship…. I was actually able to place a new order yesterday, but it was killed this morning…..
Does anyone regulate pharmacies? Am I purely at their mercy? Is there anyone I can escalate to?
