My daughter uses life saving meds that are fulfilled by a specialty pharmacy (CVS) and her insurance is changing to a new provider (UHC) who uses a different specialty pharmacy (Accredo).
Is there any pre-approval process she can request from the employer to help smooth the way for her transition so she doesn’t have a disruption in meds?
She also uses home health and needs weekly nurse visits. Same question for this scenario.
Is there anyone we can engage to facilitate the transition? I don’t know if there are people who specialize in this, but we have had major issues before when insurance had to reauth her and are trying to head it off, if at all possible.
