My partner purchased health insurance through Strata Health Group. The log-in web portal doesn’t show any policies other than a life insurance one and something called Assure Pass. My partner questioned the agent whom said that this indeed is health insurance, claiming that the life insurance is included and the Assure Pass is the health insurance. Is this just a health payment discount plan masquerading as an insurance company? Or am I being paranoid? Viewing the Assure Pass summary doesn’t even mention the word insurance once. Only words like “discounts” etc. Not sure what to think.
