In Georgia.
My wife and I are both currently unemployed and living off of our savings while I train for a new career. I am required 2000 hours of experience before I can receive my license which will be all of 2022 and into 2023 before I am done. I will likely be paid nothing for most of this time and possibly a small wage eventually, but it’s unknown at this time.
The only other income I may receive in 2022 is capital gains from selling some investments. This may or may not happen, depending on our needs.
When we applied for marketplace coverage we estimated a household income of $30,000. This was just a top end estimate for the year. It could be closer to $0 but almost certainly won’t be over $30,000.
Now we are being asked to provide supporting documents to prove our 2022 income by April. They want paystubs which I don’t have. Or tax returns, but our 2021 tax return will look VERY different than my expected 2022 return.
The only way I see to prove to prove 2022 income is to wait for 2022 to conclude and file my tax return but they want it sooner.
How do I proceed?
