Here is something that happened to me recently.
I was approved for coverage through the marketplace but the marketplace also sent my application to the state Medicaid department this is South Carolina.
The Medicaid department approved me for “Family Planning” nothing else.
It kicked my application back to the marketplace and fortunately I received a subsidy.
What exactly is “Family Planning”?
Will Family Planning cover certain LGBT services that my regular insurance will not?
Or is Family Planning strictly for straight people? I am asking seriously.
FYI: I am a LGBTQ Male.
I am in Charleston, SC 29412.
