My partner’s dentist performed x-rays and confirmed the need for a root canal. The treatment authorization request is allegedly going to take 1-2 months to process. It took several months just to get an appointment with the dentist due to COVID, and we cannot afford the procedure out of pocket (why we have Medi-Cal)
Is there any route to request an emergency authorization or expedite the process? The tooth is completely dead and painful. I looked through the dhcs.ca.gov website but did not see anything. Google didn’t provide much direction, either. Thank you for reading and for any insight you can provide!
