Hi all,
I (26F) live in NY and applied for insurance through the NY State of Health Marketplace. Upon completion of my application, I was advised that I was eligible for Medicaid. I’ve read that Medicaid is essentially an umbrella term and you can choose from certain plans like HealthFirst, United Healthcare Community Plan, Fidelis, etc. However, I was never given those options and was placed straight onto “Regular Medicaid.”
Is there a possibility that anyone can tell me what the difference is?; is there another step I’m missing to pick a plan?; How can I find out who’s in network?
Thanks in advance!
