I’m supposed to get surgery soon, but I recently found out that I’ve only met $163 out of the $300 deductible. If I were to meet it, 90% of my surgery would be covered by Aetna, but right now it’s at $1,770 since I haven’t fulfilled it yet. Is there a way to meet it? I don’t really know how it would work, but right now i’m due to pay the entire thing / more than half at my pre-op appointment, which I haven’t scheduled yet because I’m not sure what to do since I can’t pay for it upfront. I didn’t know where else to ask this, and whenever I’d call my insurance they’d tell me they “didn’t understand what i was saying”. Is it even possible to meet the deductible after the quota has been established? Thanks!
