So I got a new job and it offers good health insurance. But I had no idea that my wife can only use it as her secondary if she is offered insurance at her current job. If she wasn’t offered insurance through her job my insurance would cover her without issues. The problem is her insurance is only offered annually so she can’t get insurance at all till next June. My last job I had her on with no issues but because I was laid off I had to get another job… I pick out my health insurance policy tomorrow. Should I just lie and say she isn’t offered insurance? It’s partially true. She cannot get it until next year no matter what . The job I was laid off used Blue Cross and Blue shield and this new job uses the same thing so idk why it would be different.
