I searched but could not find an answer anywhere.
Currently my whole family is under my employer sponsored insurance. The 23rd is my last day at the company, I lose benefits on the 31st. The 16th of August I start with a new company and I expect to enroll in insurance there in September.
Now my wife is eligible for insurance through her employer. So instead of using COBRA I was thinking about enrolling in hers for August and then canceling in September,a s we will all transfer to my new employer.
The question I have is based on the QLE will there not be a waiting period for coverage to start on my wife’s insurance? When should we be enrolling?
