Not notified insurance is not accepted, now dealing with 500$ doctor fees

I had specifically asked them (Atrium behavioral health) when booking, if my insurance (United healthcare) is accepted or not and they said it is accepted. I had my appointment but when I went to book my second they let me know I am responsible for the entire doctor fees as my insurance is not accepted. I would have to pay 15$ otherwise.

I then called united who said it was accepted. Which I relayed to the Atrium behavioral health office who then said only the inpatient is covered not outpatient. FML. Can I get out of paying 500$ ? I did and asked everyone I needed to and got wrong information. Atrium says the person I spoke to is part time and not experienced.
