Hoping someone will be able to help me out here. I just turned 26 and lost my parents’ health insurance, thus seeking a new plan. My goal is to find a plan with very low premiums and a high deductible, i.e. catastrophic insurance to help if I end up in a car accident or some bad thing happens that would put me in big debt.
I’m very healthy, non-smoker, on no medications, don’t need mental health stuff, rarely go to the doctor, willing to pay for dentistry out of pocket, and I’m currently self-employed (I do landscaping gig work). My income for last year was under $30k and will probably be similar this year. Also, I currently live in Texas, but my drivers license still shows Washington state, and I intend to live in California for multiple months this year.
Based on this criteria, does anyone have suggestions for what I should do / what plans I should seek out? Thank you!
