Obamacare and moving states.

I am currently employed and have insurance through my employer in Louisiana. In the past when employed at places that didn’t offer insurance I applied yearly for open enrollment. I am resigning from my position soon and will be moving to Colorado, more than likely. I have a chronic medical condition that keeps me tied and dependent on insurance since I could never afford even the medication alone, which is about 3-4K per month. I have a copay prescription card from the drug manufacturer that is effective until early July 2021 and it pays for mostly all of the prescription costs entirely, wonderful and I am beyond grateful that option is available to me. What is my best option for keeping myself insured while in the transition from one state to another? Should I enroll in my current state which I intend to reside in for a max of 2 more months? Should I use a good friend’s CO address and apply for enrollment there ASAP or as soon as I end my current employment?
