Oscar Denying Korvalabs Inc. COVID Test From June…

I went for a COVID test here in LA back in June. I can’t remember where this test was administered as I’ve had well over two dozen COVID tests since the pandemic began (work related).

Earlier this month, Oscar (my insurance company for 2020) “revised” this claim and now won’t pay out because:

“The reason it was not covered is because it wasn’t billed with COVID-19 billing codes. Upon receiving the claim from the provider, it wasn’t billed as a COVID related visit. In order to get this fixed, you will need to reach out to the providers billing department and tell them to re-bill us with COVID-19 billing codes in order for it to be covered by your insurance. We are unable to do anything until we get an updated bill from the facility with the correct codes. We do not provide codes, the billing department has the correct codes for COVID-19 tests and treatments. “

It appears that Korvalabs was acquired by Curative, the company running most of LA’s testing sites where I would get tested. Aside from that, I can’t find any contact information.

Oscar’s care team isn’t helping either.
