Parents are in their 60s and can’t afford health insurance and don’t qualify for medicare yet. What can they do?

The situation:

My mom is 66 years old she is 8 months away from qualifying for medicare. (She didn’t have enough work credits).

My dad is 62 and works full-time but his employer doesnt provide health insurance.

They both work but can’t afford the 2k a month marketplace options (they make about 50k a year combined) and they don’t qualify for medicare yet.

What can they do to get any kind of affordable insurance? What are their options?
