Paying multiple deductibles for healthcare multiple policies?

Ohio resident.

I am 29 with HDHP insurance through my employer. $3000/6000 deductible, 100% paid after deductible is met. My wife and I have twin daughters, aprox 8 months old.

My wife is 22, and still covered by her parents insurance. $1000 individual, $4000 MAX OOP if family is not met, then 80/20. This is required to be her primary insurance.

I added my wife to my family plan during open enrollment. We are now trying to determine if there is any benefit to her staying on her parent’s insurance, or if she should opt out and take my coverage only. In a scenario where she becomes pregnant and gives birth, I understand that both deductibles would need to be met. Is this accurate?

The only scenario where I see benefit to her keeping her current primary healthcare coverage is if she where to incur high in-network healthcare cost that did not involve me or another dependent on my healthcare plan. Are there any other scenarios where this example of multiple coverages would be beneficial?

TIA
