I received my 1095-c and have some questions as I don’t really understand the codes and I am concerned.
I was employed full-time and receiving health insurance through my employer in January and February. For those two months it is coded as 2C. (Which I understand).
I went to a non full-time status and my employer offered me what I found to be expensive and unaffordable insurance, so I chose to get health insurance through the marketplace. For the rest of the months that I was employed as non full-time it is coded as 2G.
I got expensive marketplace insurance starting in March and now I am worried that I will not be eligible anymore for the tax credit since my previous employer is saying that I was eligible for their insurance (2G).
Could someone please clarify how this works and if I will still be eligible to keep my tax credit I receive for the marketplace? Thanks in advance.
