Hi, so I am in the process of hiring for a new job, which I am looking forward to, but they don’t cover the health insurance plan I prefer which is Kaiser. For background I am in Southern California moving from Orange County to upper LA county. The position offers an opt out choice which means I’d have to pay for my own coverage, which I am considering. Are there any pros or cons to this or any recommendations?
I am hesitant to pick another insurance because I love my doctor and my plan although it seems like coverage will change drastically for self-paid plans. The deductible is over 2X as much.
