insurance is just apparently too hard to comprehend i guess,
so I am pregnant, i went to baystate medical practices because my blue cross does not cover anything affiliated with baystate and blue cross has me at a 900 premium (i believe that’s what it’s called) till i get coverage. So for now i’m trying to use my secondary insurance which is masshealth which covers services by baystate. I have went over with the gynecologist multiple times that they keep putting blue cross as my insurance when I know blue cross is not going to cover it. so i have yet to see a doctor but had to contact the emergency line due to some concerns. Finally found out who my doctor is, I found out the doctor accepts blue cross blue shield, but doesn’t cover masshealth. So the question is, if they are making me see a provider that only accepts my primary insurance when my primary doesn’t even accept the insurance, how would my secondary insurance masshealth cover it if the provider doesn’t accept masshealth? I feel like i’m being scammed because to my understanding it’s completely out of network for both insurances. When i review my plan for blue cross blue shield it specifically said it does not cover any services affiliated with baystate. Do i sound correct or i’m really missing something?
