Prior Authorization denied my Brain MRI. Can I still get the procedure done?

My doctor ordered me to get two MRI scans. One on my cervical spine and another on my brain.

It went through prior authorization.

The cervical spine got approved, but the brain MRI did not.

Can I still get the procedure done even if insurance denies it?

Can the facility allow me to use my insurance for the cervical spine MRI and cash pay for the brain MRI?

I worry they may refuse to do that because they’re contracted with my insurance.
