Provider claimed to be in-network, but is not.

I booked my appointment through a platform, where the provider listed that their were in-network for me. When they called to confirm the appointment, they: A) confirmed they accept my insurance and B) told me to cancel my appointment through the platform as they had booked me in the internal system.

Fast forward 3 weeks, and I’ve received.a bill for $1,200 because this doctor is actually out of network.

Is there anything I can do? I truly feel deceived. The doctor provided false info on the platform and then made me cancel my appointment through it.
