Qualifying for medicaid – I’ve been unemployed for 2 months and will be unemployed for 2-3 more months, but I may get back to work after. So what happens to coverage then?

I’ve gone most of my life without health insurance so I have no idea how this stuff works. But I really need it lately.

I became unemployed two months ago and have been unable to get back to work since. My income is $0 per month, and I expect this will continue to be the case for maybe 2-3 more months. So technically I should qualify for medicaid. But what happens if after that I am able to find a job and have income? Will my medicaid coverage just stop? Will I be penalized or have to pay back in the amount of a regular health insurance plan? Anyone have any experience with this or advice? It’s hard to predict the future lol.
