So, turning 26 in 2021. I was under my parents plan but now that I’m 26, I’m moving to my own. Not in the best financial standing but long story short I’m a current grad student and work less than part time as an adjunct instructor so my job doesn’t offer me health insurance and I don’t make much money- but I do make the minimum necessary to file on my own under AmBetter. I asked and I’m good on that front.
How much is a good price to pay? In my 2019 W2 I made a little under $10,000. 2020 will be more than that (give or take $13,500) And I’m not sure about 2021 but I’ll be graduated at that point and will be teaching more classes so hopefully more than how much I make in 2020. I mention 2021 because I read they’ll ask me about future earnings for 2021 too but I honestly have no idea about 2021’s projection…
Anyhow, aside from how much is a good price to pay…is there any other info I should know about filing on my own? Any particular questions I should ask?
Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
