I’ve been funemployed and applied for Covered California. I signed an offer letter for a job yesterday that will provide me health insurance and pay me enough such that I will no longer need Medi-Cal.
The website says a change in income must be reported within 10 days of the event. The offer letter for the job states that my first day of work will be March 21 contingent upon me completing multiple prerequisites.
Am I correct that I need a paystub to report a change in income, or at least a more definitive offer letter (not a contingent one)? Assuming everything goes well, I will be eligible for the new health plan on April 1, however I need to get a prescription renewed before then and I don’t want to lose Medi-Cal coverage before I’m eligible for the new job coverage.
