I am a remote employee based on Colorado, currently on my spouses health insurance. My employer is a small business in Wisconsin. I have been remote the entire time I have been employed there, and have never had their health insurance. This year we are considering switching.
My company uses Anthem Blue Cross. When I look on the website, Anthem Blue Cross is in Colorado, however I do not see their specific plan (Blue Preferred Plus POS) as being offered in Colorado.
My question is, how would this work for me? Would I end up getting the plan by extension? Would my company have to get me a different one (which I assume could cost me more than it would in WI) or would I have to find my own and hope that my company will pay for it?
