I’m asking this on behalf of a friend since I’m also very unaware of the ins and outs about health insurance. She’s currently looking through the open marketplace for insurances, and is looking for dental coverage in particular. Is it possible to only get a plan with dental or typical “secondary” benefits (I might be using this incorrectly, sorry!) without getting a “primary insurance” first?
