hi, i’m a georgia resident relocating to hawaii for 4 months (may-september). i currently have ambetter insurance here, so i have no out-of-state coverage. i spoke to health.gov on the phone, and it was suggested that i come off of my family’s plan and go onto an individual plan for coverage in hawaii, but the deductibles are much greater than what my family pays here, and i really only need insurance for emergency situations while i’m there (not for regular doctor/dental visits or anything like that). i was wondering if anyone knows of any short-term out-of-state travelers insurance options that will keep me covered only if i have to visit the ER or any such emergency situation. thanks!
