Sorry if this is a dumb question, but its a simple answer I can’t find about a spouse turning 26 in the middle of the year

I’m going to turn 26 next year and will then start my own health insurance at my company (enrollment starts in Feb and coverage begins after March). My fiance and I plan to get married soon, but a specific worry about language in coverage may affect our plans. According to her dad, when she turns 26 in August the coverage will continue until December 31st. Putting aside whether thats 100% accurate, we need to know for sure one thing:

Does a spouse turning 26 and/or losing coverage count as a qualifying event for my enrollment for benefits. I.e. is she SOL unless we decide the exact right timing to be married within 30 days of when coverage can change over.

Either we get married now and theres a period between August and the next March of non coverage, or December and the next March of non coverage. Or we need to wait until the last possible second to be within 30 days of claiming a life event after losing coverage.

The question of “spouse turning 26 qualifing life event?” is an autocomplete on Google but its surprisingly difficult to find a straight answer anywhere I’ve looked. It may be because its obvious, but nothing I’ve found either differentiates between the spouse and the covered person, or says its the same between the spouse and covered person reaching age 26 in determining what is officially a life event. It’s probably not a big deal but is currently a bugbear because due to preexisting conditions, loss of coverage can either be a big deal or a huge deal, and her parents coverage is an old insurance plan with a great deductible and low out of pocket. We just want the best plan starting our married life without needing to pay unexpected out of pocket.

Edit: sorry, for automod this is in TX and it will be United for the provider.
