Still covered by former employer

I was laid off from my position and then enrolled in one of the available affordable health plans, paying about $1200 this year in monthly dues and one medical visit (about $200).

Then I got a new job and enrolled in a new health plan, and canceled the affordable health plan coverage.

I have recently learned my former health insurance (through former employer) is still active through 2021. This includes dental, vision, prescriptions, and medical health coverage. (That health insurance was a high deductible plan that didn’t require me to pay anything per month).

Can I file a claim for the office visit to that insurance plan? For medical expenses (and vision, dental, prescriptions) this year instead of using by HSA for balance payment due, can I submit the balance to that insurance plan?
