I live in Utah. What are some options for insuring against losing my job and therefore my health insurance and income, at the same time that I may have an expensive illness to contend with?
As I get older I grow more concerned about a serious, disabling illness that could either prevent me from working or outstrip my insurance benefits. My family history is replete with autoimmune and degenerative disorders, and I am already not in ideal health.
My current health insurance is quite good, and I have elected for the most generous life and disability plans offered by my employer.
I recognize this is kind of a mixture of questions involving employment, health care, and disability. Anyone who could help me clarify my thinking would be a big hero to this random stranger on the internet!
