I have AETNA with my job and a $3k deductible. I need knee surgery- ruptured ACL/torn meniscus. My insurance will cover 80% of my surgery after I meet my $3k deductible… it’s seems the only options to put money toward my deductible is- having a baby, riding in an ambulance, staying in a hospital, surgery. If my deductible isn’t met before my knee surgery, it seems I will have to pay the whole thing. I read my benefit docs and spoke to AETNA on the phone for an hour.. trying to brain storm options, or more questions to call them back about. Any advice? Or does my insurance just suck and I’m better off finding new insurance and getting surgery next year? 🙁
