Student needing insurance options.

I’m 30 and am quitting my job in a few months to pursue a one year post bac program that I can’t use loans for. I have saved enough money for commuting, tuition, groceries, etc but I didn’t account for the program wanting a proof of insurance coverage. I make about $1600 a month currently…but my income is about to be zero. I could borrow money off of a parent for the insurance for one year and pay it back, but I guess what I’m asking is should I apply now or after I had quit my job? I do have health insurance currently through my employer however it’s useless and I can’t work during the program to keep it. Thanks for the advice. I feel so lost about all of this.

Zip is 44708.
