My household qualified for a healthcare subsidy of over $800, but when I went to purchase the plan it was only allowing me select full cost plans. I had good insurance through my job before being let go and my husband got out of the military at the worst possible time, peak of COVID, so now we no longer have health insurance, nor can we afford full price.
Is this normal? Do they apply the subsidy after I “buy” the plan? We made under $26,000 last year and probably this year as well. We live in NC so no medicaid without kids lol. I have no idea what to do now… we are 22 and 23 and full time students.
