Switching to $0 premium HDHP

My employer offers a $0 premium HDHP. I was considering a different low deductible plan wjth very high annual premium because of expected maternity care.

But when I did the math the HDHP maximum out of pocket cost is ~$1k less than the annual premium of the low deductible plan. Is there any reason not to go with the HDHP in this case? I’m not sure if there are any “gotchas” with HDHP that I’m just not thinking of.

Note: will be staying with in network care regardless.
