So basically, we’ve found out over this past year that my wife’s health and dental insurance pretty much suck, which leads me wanting to add her onto my insurance. Her open enrollment is September and mine is November. If they were flipped I’d just add her and have her drop it in November, but that is not the case. How would we be able to cover her from September to November when I could then add her onto my plan? Should I contact my HR and ask, or should she contact hers or what is just the best way to resolve this? I would rather not double cover her for nearly a year.
