I’m Uninsured, was allowed to sign up for coverage March 1st (30 Days after start), paperwork already submitted.
Last 2 days I’ve been getting sharp jabs of pain that my doctor student friend explained as probable symptoms of appendicitis. Healthcare plan is Horizon Blue Cross, no idea if they do retroactive insurance or how any of that works.
From what I’ve read out of pocket surgery is 30k+, I’m holding up fine just very nervous of an emergency situation where it “bursts” and I’d need to go to the hospital. Is there emergency coverage I can use between now and next week/ until my insurance starts up that would be beneficial in this situation?
