Unsure if I’m eligible for Healthcare.gov tax credit?

I am employed but do not work enough hours to qualify for my employer’s High-Deductible Medical Plan; however, all employees at my job are eligible for a “Preventive Care Plus Plan.”

From my employers’ benefits website : “The Preventive Care Plus Plan offers preventive care benefits only – it is not a comprehensive medical plan. You may decide to enroll in additional medical coverage elsewhere. However, if you enroll in this plan, you can’t obtain subsidized public health care exchange coverage, even if you qualify.”

I was looking into Healthcare.gov plans but am unsure if I would qualify for the tax credit. Does the Preventive Plan disqualify me, even though it is not a comprehensive health plan? It only covers an annual preventive doctor check up and prescriptions. I’m in Tennessee, if that makes any difference.

I have called my employee benefit helpline and called Healthcare.gov twice but no one could give me a definitive answer. If anyone has experience with this or can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!
