I’ve been paying my Cobra premium on time every month. I just started a new job and I am on a two month “trial run” to see if I am a good fit to the team. If I do good, I will receive an increase in pay and health insurance benefits.
I reported my new job with unemployment online. No issues there. But I don’t know how to navigate Cobra. Will my previous employer just drop me from coverage, and then I’m left with no insurance? Is there a grace period that will allow me to keep coverage as long as I pay my premium?
And now I just got an email about the new American Rescue Plan Act. How does that play into my situation?
