I am new to Captivate, and I am working on a reading lesson. I have a paragraph of text on the slide, with 30 highlighted words. The user is supposed to select all of the “Tier 2” words. When the learner clicks on a highlighted word, I would like one of three actions to happen:
- (incorrect choice) – Text displays briefly and disappears on the next click: “Incorrect – this is a Tier 1 Word”
- (incorrect choice) – Text displays briefly and disappears on the next click: “Incorrect – this is a Tier 3 Word”
- (correct choice) – Text displays briefly and disappears on the next click: “Correct – this is a Tier 2 Word” – the button changes to a different transparent background color – and it remains that color until the user goes to the next slide.
I have created buttons over each word that are transparent yellow to create the highlighted look. When I play the slide, the incorrect definitions remain on the screen even though I set the duration to two seconds. And I have not been able to figure out how to change the color of the button/highlight color for the correct answers. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!
