My problem is that my PCP isn’t taking any new patients. I called my insurance to see if they could switch me to a new doctor and they did twice. Only one is seeing new patients, but the earliest is in May. My insurance expires in March! I think I renewed (Obamacare) but I haven’t gotten any mail or an email confirming this (I used the Virginia CommonHelp website). I’m left feeling helpless and don’t know where to begin. The PatientFirst clinic helped me with meds in the meantime, but to continue with my recovery I would need my PCP to refer me to a Physical therapist, and a dermatologist. I hit a wall and don’t know what my options are.
Also, does anyone know where I could check on my benefit status? I believe I extended but all this trouble has me wondering if I did something wrong.
