I’m starting a new job and have to choose between a hdhp and a traditional ppo plan. I normally prefer a ppo for peace of mind, but it is really expensive at my new job.
My wife has a traditional plan, but it requires me to take my own if my employer offers one.
Would using her plan as my secondary help me in any way if I choose to save money by enrolling in the hdhp? It would not add any cost to add me to her insurance because she already has the family plan.
