This has got to be a mistake right?
I am 22 and a college student. This wasnt a cosmetic surgery either; my nose was fractured and my septum was dislocated. Previous to surgery, I was in contact with my insurance company and had them call me directly for when my insurance approves the surgery.
The surgeons office even has an authorization letter which states that the services were approved, some were voided but NONE were disapproved. I paid my portion of the percentage of the full amount, which was 2,000. I am now being billed 75,000 DOLLARS AND 4,000 for anesthesia…
I know I have to call the insurance company but right now i am freaking out. There is NO possible way that this is accurate right???
