I’m a 24 year old female. My zip code is 30047. I just relocated to Georgia from New York. I left my employer in NY who I had insurance through. That ended 11/31/20. I signed up for open enrollment via healthcare.gov and the only plans I was offered were high deductible ($8,500) and high priced ($250 a month for just catastrophic). I paid taxes in New York and Georgia last year. I didn’t make more $20,000. This year i will have made maybe I went with a plan that costs $280, but the deductible is $8,500. I only made $24,000 this year (this is before tax, my take home was more like $16,800). I plan on calling the local health representatives after the new year, but I’d like to have some basic knowledge of what may be going on. Should I qualify for a cheaper plan?
