I went in for a blood test/annual physical for the first time in the US. They didn’t charge me anything at the office, so I was like cool Health insurance is nice. Then I get a bill from them for like 250 bucks. I paid it, I figured w/e that makes sense I have a 2.5k deductible, I probably won’t go to the doctors often even with insurance in the US lol. And months later, I get a mail from Accurate Diagnostic Labs, asking for 80 bucks for all the tests they ran. I look at the bill and it looks right, they tested for hepatitis this, hepatitis that, w/e. Is this normal? Did I not pay for my visit when I paid the doctors office 250 bucks, like I don’t mind paying this 80 bucks to ADL, but I’m just trying to understand whats going on… Am I gonna get another bill in another couple months from somewhere else lol
US healthcare is an absolute mind fuck…
