Will my health insurance cover something if I saw the Dr. before I quit/leave?

I had to have treatment on my jaw, and I tried to get it pre-approved through my insurance but they don’t do pre-approved (or pre-authorization). So I saved majority of the money (I’m $2,000 short out of $7,000), signed up for CareCredit, used it to pay for my treatment and will make the monthly payments.

I had the treatment done on April 27th. I will be leaving my job (which is where I get my health insurance from) in July. I was looking at my previous claims and I noticed that it takes anywhere from a few days to 2+ months for claims to be processed.

Say that it does take the 2+ months and they make a decision in August, will they still cover the treatment even though I technically don’t have insurance with them anymore because I had it while I was getting treated?

I just need to know how “annoying” and pushy I need to be with my health insurance.

I’m leaving for college which is where I’ll be getting my new health insurance and I highly doubt that the new insurance plan will cover my jaw treatment.

With my treatment, I had to pay for everything up front (total of $7,000) but it will cover the entire treatment process. I have to go in for exams monthly to make sure it’s healing right (12 months long). When I look at my claims, my health insurance did cover the exam fee of the first visit. So I’m assuming they are going to cover at least the 12 exams fees ( $1,500).
