Won’t have insurance through my employer for about a year what should I do?

I’m a nurse and recently left my job with insurance to take a supplemental position that doesn’t provide insurance. I am planning on having a different job in a year that will have insurance so just need something in the meantime. We could add me to my wife’s plan and pay $725 a month for me including dental. But we’re wondering if there are private pay plans out there with similar coverage that would be cheaper as I’m in school right now and we’re trying to save money. My wife looked into Molina, has anyone used them before? I am 26, we now make around $80,000/yr, and live in Washington.
