I logged into My UHC today because I got an email about a claim processing. I took a glance over claims from the last year, and some that are very old say things like “You may owe (x amount)”. Not totally sure what this means. Does this just mean they don’t have record if I paid or not, and are just telling what I owe in case I didn’t pay?
As far as I know, I have paid everything I’ve needed to the past year, but sometimes a random bill appears months after you get something done so I’m a little worried. However, for all of these claims that say “you may owe” even ones that are very old, I’ve never gotten a letter for them with a bill.
Can I basically ignore My UHC saying I MIGHT owe something, unless I get an actual bill?
And if you want to answer a bonus question… what does “partially denied” mean on on my claims? I see a Chiropractor once a month. It says Plan Discount 5, Plan Paid 45, I might owe 5. … Well, I’ve been paying 50 each time and those claims saying the plan paid 45 all say partially denied. Not really sure what that’s about. My insurance is basically I pay everything until I hit my deductible and I’m not there yet.
